22 Dec--> Extreme swimmer Toni Enderli takes on Ocean’s Seven

The Brief:

Raise awareness for businessman and extreme swimmer Toni Enderli’s campaign to become the first South African to complete Ocean’s 7 – the marathon swimming equivalent of mountaineering’s Seven Summits. In September 2017 we were tasked with capturing maximum publicity for Toni’s third swim, the hazardous Molokai Channel in Hawaii.

The Strategy:

Research, write and plan a powerful media release, highlighting Toni’s campaign which includes raising awareness and funds for the NSRI’s water safety programme. Draw on Leap’s deep contacts and media relationships with the goal of capturing maximum publicity. Strategically interact with all media to this end.

The Results:

Extensive media coverage ranging from front page coverage on the Cape Argus through to various radio and television interviews (including SABC TV News and Expresso). Space captured was valued by Newsclip @ R1,1million which translates to over R3million in PR value. Added value: Toni’s profile as a  property expert was raised, leading to further media exposure for his property business.
